check words for the English /oʊ/ vowel. Many non-native speakers make this more like a single vowel and it’s a double vowel so it should have /o/ and /ʊ/ smoothly joined together. Check it in the word ‘phone’ . Another double vowel to look out for in your Voicemail Greeting example is the diphthong vowel /eɪ/. This vowel is in words like ‘wait’ and ‘able’. Give them a reason to call you back. In both voicemail messages, did you noticed how I mentioned new information they might be interested in? That will grab their attention more than simply introducing yourself, thanking them and asking them to give you a call if they have any questions. Come from a place of helpfulness by giving them something to look forward to and that will solve a problem.
I don’t mind it so much for people I know. I have to deal with them on a daily basis, so I can’t hold voicemail grudges against them. However, if someone cold calls me or it’s just an acquaintance that calls, a crappy voicemail annoys me and leaves a bad impression.
