When your business is closed for vacation or holidays, it’s imperative that you set appropriate expectations for a callback and to provide an alternative coverage option, if available. The following greeting accomplishes this succinctly.
10. “Hey, this is [your name] at [X company]. Right now, I’m on vacation and won’t be back in the office until [month]! Please leave me your name, phone number, and the reason you are calling and I will get back to you then. If it’s urgent, you can email details at [company email] and one of our team members will reach out to you. Have a great day.” Yes, we all need a break from time to time. Let your caller know you’ll be back and ready to meet their needs after you’re back from vacation.Voicemail greetings for the customer service phone number

As I said, I use a “3 strikes, you’re out” rule. You may find that 4, 5, 10 or 20 works best for you, but for me, it’s 3.
A professional voicemail greeting is a recorded message that welcomes callers to your business when no one is available to pick up the call. For a polished call experience, the greeting should reflect who the client is calling – whether a general business number, department, team, or individual – and when the customer can expect the call to be returned.
The easiest way to listen to your voicemail is to call your mailbox. Either dial your mobile number from your phone or use quick-dial access:
For example, if you are planning to go on vacation for two weeks, make sure you update your voicemail greeting stating how long you’ll be out of the office when you’ll be back — and who can be contacted in your absence.
For example, if the lead is a first time home buyer, you can offer them advice on the general mortgage process in your voicemail. Plus, suggest they call you back to learn more. Make sure they know that you would be happy to answer any questions they may have.
6. Navigate to File -> Export Audio and save your voicemail on your computer as an .MP3. You should now be able to open the recorded voicemail in software like iTunes or Windows Media Player.
"Everyone criticizes the millennials for being the 'me' generation and being so entitled," she says. "I don't think they're so entitled. I think they're just incredibly pragmatic. So for them if a voice mail isn't practical — which most of the time it isn't — and there's a more practical way of delivering the same information, they're gonna go for that." Note: If necessary, delete an existing greeting (limit of 2 greetings) to make room for the new greeting: Tap the Menu key, tap Delete greetings, tap the check box next to the desired greeting, and then tap Delete. Tap the Record icon to record your greeting. Tap the Stop recording icon to stop recording.
After all, a professional voicemail recording boosts your credibility, makes you seem more competent, and encourages whoever's listening to it to continue the relationship.
7. Edit your voicemail greeting. Now, press the dial pad key for changing or recording your voicemail greeting. It's 1 in this case.
I like to use a “three strikes and you’re out” rule. Meaning, after the 3rd attempt, if I haven’t heard back from them, I take them out of my current call list (I move them back into my drip marketing campaign and let that do its job)
