3. Call your voicemail by dialing the number using the dial pad or press and hold “1.”

To activate Visual Voicemail, dial 1217 from your iPhone and a recorded message will confirm it has been switched on. When a message is left in your voicemail mailbox, you'll see a notification against the ‘Phone’ widget on your iPhone. When you activate Visual Voicemail, your current personal greeting will carry over.
"I guess I usually just assume that it's probably not that important if you didn't text me, and you didn't send me a message on Facebook," Kidd says.
Your phone number is the last thing you should say on a voicemail. Say it once, slowly, and make sure to repeat it again. This has two benefits: First, it makes your phone number the last thing they hear, which encourages an immediate call back. And, second, in the age of voicemail dictation, it ensures your phone number appears clearly at the end of the message text. It will be hyperlinked and easy to push for a quick reply from your prospect.
First I would check the phone to see if it saved the greeting to its files. Some phones do and some don’t. If you are unable to find the voicemail greeting file, google the question for your type of phone. If you’re unable to find it or do it, call youe cell phone carrier to see if they can help. Some carriers still save voicemail greetings on their systems. It’s a great reminder though that if you have a greeting you really want to keep, to make sure you record it and save it to your computer and to a flash drive or cloud drive for good measure. Most people don’t know this, but voicemail systems have the functionality to listen to and rerecord your voicemail if you are unsatisfied. Usually, this can be accessed by pressing # or 1 to return to the voicemail menu. From there you will hear the prompts to listen or rerecord your voicemail.
So, leave "Call me back when you get this," at the door, and try, "Talk to you soon," "Thanks for your time," or a good old-fashioned, "Have a great day."
