My number is [phone number]. I’ll also follow up with an email tomorrow. I look forward to hearing what you think. The key to making a script work is to practice. You can’t read it line-for-line, so it’s important to work out the kinks before you place your call, including: Your name Your reason for calling The benefit of calling you back Your contact information Your promise of a follow-up email
What you do not want to do is say your phone number so quickly that the person has to listen to your voicemail multiple times to try and figure out your phone number. We have all gotten those annoying voicemail messages where the person said their phone number so quickly that we had to listen to their message several times to figure out their phone number. Don't be that jerk who leaves their phone number so fast that the other person has to listen to your message over and over to try and figure out what your phone number is.

Leaving voicemails can be intimidating: The recording starts quickly, the time you have to speak is limited, and only some answering machines give you the option to review and re-record your message if you mess up. You often have one shot, and a limited time-frame, to get your message across.
I touched on this earlier, but it's worth repeating. Keep your voicemails short and sweet. Very few — if any — of your prospects are interested in spending multiple minutes listening to you make small talk or rattle off your offering's features and benefits.

To send to an email address with the message attached, check the box next to Attach new voicemail messages and send via email.
Go and click the Start button on the recording tool few seconds prior playing your voicemail. When you are done, simply hit Stop to stop the recording.
