The body is the meat and potatoes of your voicemail. This is the section where you leave details about why you are calling and what you hope to achieve from this voicemail, which is usually a call back.
This can also work with your iPhone or Android, if the above methods aren’t working for you. Just connect your phone into the computer with a 3.5mm audio cable. More on that in a minute.

Tap a message notification. When you get a voicemail, you can check your message from the notification on your phone. Swipe down from the top of the screen. Tap Voicemail . Call your voicemail. You can call your voicemail service to check your messages. Open the Phone app . At the bottom, tap Dialpad .
To access voicemail whilst using a landline or another mobile number whilst in Australia, below are the steps you'll need to follow.
Unfortunately, once a voicemail message has been deleted there is no way to retrieve it. At the end of the below mentioned expiry periods, voicemail messages will be purged from the network and will no longer be accessible.
“Hello! You’ve reached the voicemail of [your name], [your job title]. I’m currently either away from my desk or on the other line. Please leave your name, telephone number, and a short message after the beep, and I’ll be sure to get back to you as soon as I’m available.”

After each one, evaluate your performance. Most systems provide the option of listening to the message you just left. Doing this as much as possible will improve your performance more than anything else. Would you save that voicemail? Would you return that call? Would you return that call right away? Are you missing the basics (alternative phone number, optimal ways to get in touch, a fall-back person to call)? Did you craft it or wing it?

My first tip for you today, is to write it down and when you are ready to record simply read it out.
Because you never know the quality of someone’s phone audio or your cell phone service, it's not a bad idea to give your name and phone number twice within your message. The thought being, if the person you called can’t understand who you are or how to call you back, how can they be expected to return your call?
