Standard greeting with phone number: "At the tone, please record your message to [phone number]."
Be sure to include all important details, like why you are calling, your contact number, your name and anything else that’s necessary. If you are following up a previous voicemail, say so. If you had been confusing in the previous voicemail, apologize and proceed with your message.
First, call your prospect and leave a concise 15-second message. This voicemail should include the bulk of the information you want to share: your reason for calling, benefits to the prospect, etc.
Sending out weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly email newsletters offering valuable tips that will help your clients solve their problems goes a long way to becoming a value-added resource.

On [Date of Last Contact], I contacted you about [Reason for Previous Call] and as I haven’t heard from you, I can only assume you're either, one, not interested and I’m simply clogging up your voicemail with annoying spam messages; or, two, you desperately want to contact me, but you’re trapped under a fallen filing cabinet and can’t reach your phone. These days, most phone functions are for tweeting and texting, but what about leaving voicemail messages that get returned? Many people say they no longer check voicemail, or don’t listen to messages in full. They either tap “return call,” send a text, or find other channels to see what the person wanted.
If you have a voicemail service set up to cover the times when you’re not able to take phone calls, you may need to know how to delete the voicemail messages.
When you have new voicemail, the Phone tab in the Skype for Business main window displays the number of your messages. See Contact Card opens the caller's contact card, which lists their phone number, email address, office location, and so on. Open Item in Outlook provides more information about the call.
Open Phone → Make sure you are on Keypad → Press and hold the number 1 for a few seconds. It will call your voicemail; You can check your voicemails here.
Assuming you have a strong 1st attempt voicemail message, when on your 2nd attempt should you get voicemail again, simply lead with:
Leave a voicemail by using your normal tone of voice and keeping your message short, between 20-30 seconds. Start the voicemail with information that's relevant to the contact and ask questions that are tailored to them.

Or, if they need to refinance, tell them that you know about current rates. And, you can provide them with guidance on if the timing is right. Staying honest and genuine will give you credibility and encourage them to return your call. After all, you are trying to become their trusted advisor, and the voicemail is the first attempt at this.
