Your phone number is the last thing you should say on a voicemail. Say it once, slowly, and make sure to repeat it again. This has two benefits: First, it makes your phone number the last thing they hear, which encourages an immediate call back. And, second, in the age of voicemail dictation, it ensures your phone number appears clearly at the end of the message text. Leaving voice mail messages is a waste of time because most people rarely return phone calls anymore from salespeople. Call the voicemail system to change your password: From your AT&T wireless phone, press and hold 1. For AT&T Wireless Home Phone, dial 1. If prompted, enter your voicemail password. If you have new messages, press the * key to skip to the Main Menu. In the Main Menu, press 4 for Personal Options. Press 2 for Administrative Options.

Press *R immediately or leave a message and then press *R. This feature is useful for long distance or pay calls because you can leave and get messages with one phone call.

Passwords: The system default password is 2468. When you first use Audix, you will have to use the password of 2468. After you enter the default password, the system will ask you to enter a five (5) digit password. At that time, enter the password you wish to use.
Avoid background noise. Whether you have music playing in your office, or you’re sitting in a coffee shop, background noise can make it difficult for your customers to understand your greeting. Limit the noise around you when you leave your voicemail greeting.
