When recording, choose a quiet area, speak clearly, and use your full name (first and last).

(Follow-up call = you’ve spoken before, made some progress through the sales process and a follow-up call was required)
Whatever you do, don’t call and hang up without leaving a voicemail. The contact is never going to return a call from an unknown number and, the next time you call, they’ll be even less interested in what you have to say.
Hello, it’s obvious you have bad timing, because nobody is home. Please leave your name, telephone number, and a brief message in a voice similar to mine, and your call will be returned as soon as humanly possible.
After you have stated the nature of your call, you want to be sure to close out your voicemail confidently. If you say something similar to “please call me back”, or “I really need to talk to you” you run the risk of coming across overly excited and potentially a little desperate.
7. Identify Yourself And Your Business. When you call someone for the first time, unless you know their voice, you really have no way of making sure you actually called the right number.
1. Change your iPhone voicemail greeting using the Phone app on your device. The Phone app is the one with the white phone icon in a green box. For many users, this icon is one of the four permanent apps on the bottom of the screen.

Sorry, Chris and Susan aren’t here right now. Please leave your name and number after the tone. If you are calling regarding an outstanding debt, please leave your message before the tone.
Retrieving voicemail messages. Users can listen to voicemail messages by accessing Nextiva Voice mailbox from a Nextiva phone or external phone. If calling from the primary phone, dial *86, otherwise if calling from any external phone, dial the phone number and press the * key during the voicemail greeting.

As you practice and score your sales voicemails, you’ll start to determine some best practices. Here are a few of mine:
To end the voicemail, state (or restate) your main question, then say your phone number. You can also say you’ll follow-up with an email. Now, this isn’t the same as saying, “If I don’t hear from you, you’ll hear from me!” Instead, it’s giving them another way to contact you, one they may be more comfortable with. They should still feel a responsibility to respond to your question, but now they have two options for how to get back in touch. (Then send that email, of course.)
Calling your retrieval number — instead of your home phone number — is a faster way to listen to your messages remotely. You will be prompted immediately to enter your PIN and don't have to wait for your greeting to start.
