However, when it comes to leaving a voicemail, you only have a few seconds to actually grab the listener's attention. Most salespeople screw this up by leaving too much information and making themselves sound like a salesperson, which is the kiss of death when leaving a voicemail.
I find it helpful to imagine that I am writing a memo when I leave voicemail messages. Outlining points enhances my own clarity and puts the listener on notice for the information.

These are legitimate questions and the answers will vary depending on your industry and individual prospects. In all honesty, your response rate with sales voicemails probably won't be high—the average response rate for a prospecting voicemail is between 4-6%, industry wide. You'll probably see more engagement using email. And leaving the perfect message takes planning and practice.

So my new Voicemail message would be something like: Hi, this is Milena. Please know I check my Voicemail once per week. You may leave me a message here and I will call you back later in the week or preferably, you can send me an email to [email protected] and I will reply to you asap. Thank you
