You prove you've been paying attention by referring to pain points they've previously mentioned and kept the conversation centered around benefiting the prospect. You've also slipped in a specific timeline for when you'd like to connect.

So what should you do if you’ve got a voicemail that’s really worth saving? The solution involves some free software and an affordable purchase, but it’s doable. Here’s how:
If you wrapped up a meeting earlier in the day but weren't able to schedule a follow-up appointment, leave this voicemail a few hours later.
Dan Grim, CEO/Founder of Good Stuff Tonics and Melior Botanicals, keeps his script even simpler:
You probably touched on this at the end of your last conversation, but if you haven't heard from your prospect in a while, this can be a useful strategy for getting back on their radar.
When leaving your voicemail and phone number, do not say, "Please call me back at ..." Nothing sounds more like a salesperson making a cold call then saying, "please call me back at...".
When on vacation, provide your callers with a return date and a back-up contact person to accommodate emergencies. This prevents you from potentially damaging a valued relationship while you enjoy some time off.
So my new Voicemail message would be something like: Hi, this is Milena. Please know I check my Voicemail once per week. You may leave me a message here and I will call you back later in the week or preferably, you can send me an email to [email protected] and I will reply to you asap. Thank you
I am not in the office today; I may not be in tomorrow. I may be in to work sooner, if you gave me your car to borrow.

I take it this is a first-time prospecting scenario where you’ve tried to reach them, had to leave a voicemail and now you are trying the 2nd attempt. Hopefully, you’re using a voicemail strategy that includes sending the proper email to the prospect after the first attempt.
