It doesn’t have to be that way, though. First of all, leaving a voicemail isn’t that big of a deal. It’s just a message. Less than a minute of you talking, and that’s it. It’s doesn’t call for panic.

Here are a few more ways to light a fire under the contact so they call or email you back:
With Visual Voicemail, you can see a list of your messages and choose which ones to listen to or delete. Learn how to set up and transfer your existing voicemail. Create a voicemail password, then tap Done. Enter your password again to confirm it, then tap Done. Select Custom or Default. If you choose Custom, you can record a new greeting. Go to the Phone app, then tap the Voicemail tab. Tap Set Up Now. Enter your password,* then tap done. Record a custom greeting or use the default greeting, then tap Save.
You can record a personal greeting, or you can use one of the pre-recorded CenturyLink greetings. Follow the system prompts to select your greeting:
Step 2: Press 0 to listen to the message. To rewind the message (or return to previous message) press 2. To play back the header, press 2 3.
