So my new Voicemail message would be something like: Hi, this is Milena. Please know I check my Voicemail once per week. You may leave me a message here and I will call you back later in the week or preferably, you can send me an email to [email protected] and I will reply to you asap. Thank you
Unfortunately, preventing spam callers from leaving a voicemail on your cell phone can be tricky. We've researched the options from each carrier and tested a number of call blocking apps to see

Arguably the most intimidating factor when leaving a voice mail is the fact that once you leave the message, "in one take," there is no taking it back. That is why, especially in the business world, an overwhelming amount of people revert to email rather than leaving a voice mail message. Especially in a technologically advanced world, email or text messages are now used as a primary form of communication. Although there is a good argument behind opting for the written word over the spoken one, an email can lack the human touch, the emotion and enthusiasm in a voice, that can often times generate a better response. In fact, there is no impact that compares to delivering a clear, concise, professional message through your own unique human voice.
As probably know, a professional voicemail greeting can make or break leaving a great impression. However, it all starts with your voicemail script.
What should I say on my voicemail? Your voicemail should state the purpose of your call, and should include a value statement as well as your contact information.
Maybe you had one too many glasses of whiskey, and really needed to let your ex know you’re doing great Luckily, she doesn’t pick up, but you feel the need to leave her a 10-minute voicemail. Nice work.
A lot of times our anxieties get the best of us and we don’t often think about the person on the other end of the voicemail and the information they need.
Leaving voicemails can be intimidating: The recording starts quickly, the time you have to speak is limited, and only some answering machines give you the option to review and re-record your message if you mess up. You often have one shot, and a limited time-frame, to get your message across.
The body is the meat and potatoes of your voicemail. This is the section where you leave details about why you are calling and what you hope to achieve from this voicemail, which is usually a call back.
“If I leave a voicemail message on my first call in the morning, and I get voicemail again on my second attempt (either later that day or the next time I try and reach them) what do I say when that happens?”
I’d bet good money that most voicemails never get played. Instead, they just sit there serving as extra “missed call” notifications, letting you know to call or text back whoever bothered to leave you the message in the first place.
Keep the conversation going, and give prospects an easy way to return your call by shooting them a quick email once you hang up the phone. Salespeople are used to being on the phone all day -- but not all prospects are.
I like to use a “three strikes and you’re out” rule. Meaning, after the 3rd attempt, if I haven’t heard back from them, I take them out of my current call list (I move them back into my drip marketing campaign and let that do its job)
