Why should they respond to you? How will your product or service help them? Will it make their job easier or allow them to get more done in less time? These are examples of real benefits and your sales voicemails need to contain something similarly beneficial.
1. Towards the top of the screen, select the trashcan icon. A checkbox towards the right of each voicemail message in the list will appear.
Why not shorter than 20 seconds? The voicemail indicator will tell the contact how long the message is, and if it’s just 5 or 10 seconds, it may seem like a spam call or a wrong number, which means they won’t listen to it at all. Messages between 20 and 30 seconds seem important enough to listen to but not so long that they’re off-putting for the contact.
And for the prospect or client that seems to be dodging you or just not calling you back:
Voicemails can add value, whether or not a prospect calls you back right away. Even if a voicemail triggers an email response or call back six months down the line, it's valuable. The better your voicemails, the more likely you'll get a response.
You can ask your admin to change the greeting language for everyone in your organization. Your admin should see this topic for instructions: Change the default language for greetings and emails.
To use Slydial, dial 267-SLYDIAL (267-759-3425). When prompted, enter the US mobile phone number for the person you are trying to call. Once the service connects you, leave your voicemail, and then just hang up.
8. Let Your Callers Know What To Tell You. This tip is more for you than your callers. It’s particularly helpful if you need more information than the standard name and phone number.
Sending out weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly email newsletters offering valuable tips that will help your clients solve their problems goes a long way to becoming a value-added resource.
When your marketing voicemail goes on for too long, you can lose the contact completely. Or, even if they do stick with you through the whole thing, they may lose the main point of why you’re calling. Keeping your voicemail between 20 and 30 seconds is enough time to make your elevator pitch without over-talking.

It is really nice to know that it is possible to save all of your best voice messages. This is a great way to be able to keep and remember some of your most cherished memories. It is amazing to me that this is something that can be done with so many different types of communication devices. I am especially amazed that it can be done with a cassette tape. We’re all familiar with this type of voicemail greeting. Simply put, a caller reaches you by dialing your number or extension directly. For an optimal personal voicemail greeting, be clear about who you are, the team you’re on, and when the caller can expect a callback. Unlike company and department voicemail greetings, you may not be able to configure a greeting for open and closed business hours. If that’s the case, use a general voicemail greeting that accommodates both scenarios.
