You may be able to delete or re-record your message by staying on the line even after you have recorded your voicemail.
If you have a visual voicemail from FaceTime you want to preserve, you can save it with the Files app:
Choose a greeting—Default or Custom; if you choose Custom, you can record a new greeting.
Remind them of your last conversation and give them a timeline for when you'd like to talk again, saying, "I know we ran out of time in our last meeting, but I'd love to continue our conversation about why other suppliers have disappointed you in the past. Do you have time to chat more on Thursday or Friday?"

Voicemails can add value, whether or not a prospect calls you back right away. Even if a voicemail triggers an email response or call-back six months down the line, it's valuable. To activate Visual Voicemail, dial 1217 from your iPhone and a recorded message will confirm it has been switched on. When a message is left in your voicemail mailbox, you'll see a notification against the ‘Phone’ widget on your iPhone. When you activate Visual Voicemail, your current personal greeting will carry over.
Different phone systems allow users to see different amounts of information ranging from a number, to name and number, to nothing at all. So, this “missed call” method of requesting a call back could end up costing you the very thing you are seeking.
On the Phone tab, click the voicemail icon below the dial pad, and then click Change Greetings. Skype for Business calls your voicemail and guides you to record a personal greeting.
Leaving a voicemail can still be a good way to grab the attention of a potential new customer. However, when it comes to leaving a voicemail, you only have a few seconds to actually grab the listener's attention. Most salespeople screw this up by leaving too much information and making themselves sound like a salesperson, which is the kiss of death when leaving a voicemail.

Sending an email to each prospect before you call gives them an additional way to get in touch with you when they're ready. As you're leaving your voicemail, mention that you've sent them a quick email as well that has further details on who you are and the purpose of your call. As Florin Tatulea of Loopio explains:
