But delivery is everything. So, take a look at these tips for implementing your voicemail like a pro.
If you can, try to mention a tangible benefit the prospect can gain by working with you. Whether you quickly state understanding of a challenge they are facing (that you learned of during the research phase) or can share a brief statistic related to an area of interest for them.
This scenario piques your prospect's interest by teasing information. But it's only effective when your prospect actually cares about the info. If you say, "Next time we talk, I'd love to tell you more about our latest award for customer satisfaction," they probably (read: definitely) won't care.
You don't necessarily need to say âGoodbyeâ at the end of a voice mail, because you didn't really talk to anyone. Instead, try something like, âLook forward to talking* with you!â How do I make a personal voicemail greeting? Start with a polite âHelloâ. Inform the caller of who you are, and apologize for missing the call. End your script by asking the caller to leave a name and contact number with a brief message. Inform the caller that you will get back to them as soon as possible.
