Head over to Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding → Ensure the toggle is set to off.
You can also use a cloud service to backup everything you want to save from your phone or download an app made for saving messages, like VoicemailSaver. It costs $3.99 but it saves your messages, even if your phone is broken or stolen. For free options, try HulloMail or InstaVoice.

It doesn’t have to be that way, though. First of all, leaving a voicemail isn’t that big of a deal. It’s just a message. Less than a minute of you talking, and that’s it. It’s doesn’t call for panic.
You can choose where you would like to store your voicemail and fax messages—in the Calling User Portal or to a specified email address as a .tiff file. 1
3. Mobile Wireless: Press and hold the “1” button on the dialer screen of your T-Mobile device. This command automatically dials into the T-Mobile voicemail system.
You can also go to Settings → Phone → and make sure you see Change Voicemail Password.
5. Hit “Record” on Audacity. Then, on your phone, play the voicemail you’d like to record. When your message is done, stop recording. If you want to get really fancy, you can use Audacity to chop off any dead air at the start or end of your recording.
I like to say my phone number very early so the person can hear it again quickly by starting the message over and does not have to listen to your entire message again to hear the number. But do repeat your telephone number at the end of the message at least once and speak very s-l-o-w-l-y so the person can write it down as they listen. If you don't get a response to your first voicemail, don't hesitate to record a similar message once a week for two or three weeks. This sounds a bit excessive, but my experience has been that if there is even the slightest chance of meeting someone now or even in the near future, this kind of message will get their attention.
A monotone voice can be a turn off for a caller. You want your caller to feel like they missed out on speaking with you — not like they dodged a bullet.
Press *H (Help) or *4 to find out what step you are on in a task and what your options are. Always use *H when you forget what to do next.

I take it this is a first-time prospecting scenario where you’ve tried to reach them, had to leave a voicemail and now you are trying the 2nd attempt. Hopefully, you’re using a voicemail strategy that includes sending the proper email to the prospect after the first attempt.
Landlines continue to have a place in business and are in fact more prevalent than cell phones as primary telephone numbers -- at least for now.
4. Voicemail greetings for calls received after business hours. You don’t want to answer calls 24/7 (unless you’re serving clients globally and there’s an expectation of 24/7 support).
