iPhone users have another option: You can send a voice message from Apple's Messages by tapping the microphone button inside the text box (this works only when you're messaging other iPhones). By default, these voice messages last for only two minutes before they are deleted, but you can change that. Either tap Keep under any sent voice message or go to Settings > Messages and tap Expire under Audio Messages. You can set the expiration date to Never, but this affects only your record of the conversation, not the recipient's.

If you already have a call scheduled, it will serve as an incentive for your prospect to show up. If you don't have a call on the books, use their response to this voicemail to ask for a follow-up meeting.
8. “Thanks for calling [your name] at [your company]. I didn’t mean to send you to voicemail but I am either on the line with another client or on the go. Leave your name, number, the reason for your call today and the best time to call you back. I’ll speak with you shortly! ” Your caller probably wanted to reach you, not your voicemail. Advise your caller that you’re simply on the line with another caller and you’ll be right with them.
When recording, choose a quiet area, speak clearly, and use your full name (first and last).
Tips: Just be advised to use a functional Microphone for better recording output, also make sure that you utilize your mobile phone’s hands-free option to increase the volume of the playback.

So, the greeting I used was: “Hi, this is Luke Skywalker, I am not available right now, please leave a message after the beep. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you”
Why the difference in response? When you made the request specific to one person in the second circumstance, you placed a burden of responsibility on that person. So it is with sales voicemails: The more specific the question, the more responsibility the person feels to answer you.
