Honestly this is just common sense if you stop thinking about yourself for a second and instead consider what it is like when you call someone expecting to talk to a person, and instead get put through to a machine. This is a tactic we picked up from Jeff Hoffman and it works because it makes you more memorable and makes your messages seem genuine and less rehearsed. Give it a try and see if it will work for you too!

You can't just rattle off what they stand to gain from leveraging your product or service and then hang up.
