If you recently restored or updated your iPhone, your network setting may have been affected and may be causing “iPhone voicemail error try again later.” Please reset your network settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings Enter your password. Press Reset network setting in red font. The phone will automatically reset it. After it restarts, your phone then tries voicemail again.
If you can, try to keep your message 20 to 30 seconds long — max. This is the sweet spot for sharing just enough information without going overboard, potentially getting cut off by the recipient’s voice mailbox system, or having the listener hang up early because your message was simply too long. Speak clearly, avoid rambling, and get straight to the point.
If the you haven't changed your personal greeting, a default system greeting will be played for callers. For example, "Please leave a message for John Smith. After the tone, please record your message. When you finish recording hang-up or press the pound key for more options."
Sticking with our "Andy Applicant" example, if Andy had left Hannah Hiring Manager a voicemail of, “It’s me and I would like to talk to you.” She will not know who Andy is nor what Andy wants to talk about. Effectively she will be answering Andy’s questions on the spot the whole time after she figures out how to get in touch with him. What if she forgets to mention something?

Save the highest-rated voicemails. And be honest about which ones you would delete. Those are the ones that need your attention. Separate those elements that need help, and focus on one at a time until perfect voicemails become second nature.
