Timing is everything. The moment you receive the lead alert is the best time to make the follow-up call. If you call them days later, your chances of getting them on the phone are greatly diminished. I believe honesty and creativity is the key. Understand that in order to increase your callbacks, you need to pique the prospect’s interest without raising doubts or fear.
Keep in mind, your goal is to get the lead to call you back and continue to the next step of the process. It may be discouraging, but, most likely, the lead will not commit to a mortgage with you from one voicemail message. So, make it your priority to educate them about you as a loan officer and what you would offer them.
