You can set up and manage your voicemail greetings in the Calling User Portal.
And you’re done! Your CenturyLink voicemail is now set up. Whenever you have an unheard message, you'll hear a stuttered dial tone when you pick up your home phone. Take a few minutes to gather your thoughts, even jot down a few notes, and practice before you record. Before you start recording, turn off anything in the background that might cause noise. This will ensure your voice is clear and easy to understand. While clever greetings can be fun, it's worth taking a moment to think about the range of potential callers who may be leaving you voicemail. Consider the tone and image you want to project. Don't worry! If you don't like your recording, you can erase it and re-record as many times as you'd like.

9. Outgoing Message with Samuel L. Jackson Treatment. Stephen Colbert asked Samuel L. Jackson to record his infamous voice on his outgoing message recording.
After a prospect finishes listening to your email, they should be very clear on what the next step of the sales process is. Whether you ended the voicemail asking a question they are prompted to answer, left your contact information instructing them to call you back, or told them to look out for a follow-up email, the message recipient should know exactly what’s coming next, and how to behave accordingly if they are interested in the deal.
Calling your retrieval number — instead of your home phone number — is a faster way to listen to your messages remotely. You will be prompted immediately to enter your PIN and don't have to wait for your greeting to start.
To end the voicemail, state (or restate) your main question, then say your phone number. You can also say you’ll follow-up with an email. Now, this isn’t the same as saying, “If I don’t hear from you, you’ll hear from me!” Instead, it’s giving them another way to contact you, one they may be more comfortable with. They should still feel a responsibility to respond to your question, but now they have two options for how to get back in touch. (Then send that email, of course.)
You can enable/disable Voicemail at any point through Settings in My amaysim, the settings tabs of the amaysim app or by calling ##002# from your mobile.
Your message should be specific, and you have to create a sense of urgency so the contact opts to get back in touch with you. Words and phrases to use include: Must; I must hear back by [day]… Need; we need to talk about… Should; we should discuss…
Most of the time, your iPhone voicemail is full because the voicemails you deleted on your iPhone are still being stored somewhere else. At the end of each voicemail, press the number designated for deleting voicemails. This will erase the messages saved by your carrier and free up space in your voicemail inbox.
Voicemails can add value, whether or not a prospect calls you back right away. Even if a voicemail triggers an email response or call back six months down the line, it's valuable. The better your voicemails, the more likely you'll get a response.

You can also use a cloud service to backup everything you want to save from your phone or download an app made for saving messages, like VoicemailSaver. It costs $3.99 but it saves your messages, even if your phone is broken or stolen. For free options, try HulloMail or InstaVoice.
*Use the word “with” instead of “to.” It sounds more positive. You want to talk “with” the person, not give them a “talking to.” It’s a subtle difference, yet it keeps the message positive.
2. Access your voicemail. Dial *98 from your home phone. If you are away from home, dial your access number and follow the prompts, or dial your phone number, then press the * key when you hear the greeting.
You don’t have to have fancy words or a whole new voicemail message for the 2nd attempt.
Little things like a great voicemail can really set you apart from your competition. Think about it. Would you be more inclined to want to interview someone who is shouting about how much they hate calling people back, or the person who simply asks you to leave a message? Note: There is never a reason to give your sales pitch on voice mail. No one is there to say yes. Your objective is to make contact. Your objective is to provide enough information to create positive response.
