You don’t need to say why you can’t answer or where you might be, you simply need to say your full name, that you are sorry you can’t come to the phone, and that you will get back to them as soon as you can.

Nobody wants to play phone tag. Skip the back and forth by explicitly telling the caller to leave their name, number, and the best day(s) and time(s) to reach them. Your clients will appreciate you not wanting to waste their time.
Record your greeting. Under Voice mail, select Greetings. Select the type of greeting you want to record. Select Call me to play or record the selected greeting. Enter your phone number and select Dial. Follow the instructions in the recorded message to record your greeting. When finished recording, click Save.
Good afternoon. You have reached the office of (…). Leave a brief message with your contact information. I will call you back as soon as possible.
