It is stated that due to the upcoming spring season there will be off for ten days for all of you. As it is the time to spend time with your family and your lovable ones as they all want from you is your devotion, attention, and love. Many amongst you will plan to go to hilly areas whilst I will spend my time reading some of my favorite novels, The Return of the Native, Barchester Towers, and Pride and Prejudice.
Letâs be honest, you worked so hard and now itâs time to have the well-deserved vacation. There is nothing bad in wanting to show off where you are going or what you are doing.

This works fine but I notice it also adds after your auto-responder at the bottom an option for them to reply âurgentâ to ensure I receive notifications which seems damn pointless if you ask me. Is there a way to switch that off because it seems to be counter-intuitive to setting the auto-responder that youâre not there or on leave? Thanks Trace
As an employer one of our policies is to Call in absent days not text them in. This hasnât worked well as employees ( especially young employees) will still text in those types of messages. It would be wonderful to have a feature in the iPhone that allows for instant text response that can be set up for certain contacts( employees). Something similar to an out of office message in emailâŚâ I am not receiving text, please call ⌠⌠âŚ. and speak to me directlyâ
If they have to leave an OOO message for being out for an hour for a meeting, clearly it is A Big Deal in that office :(
Out of office messages provide an excellent chance for you to produce leads and enjoy your vacation in the best way.

If youâre going to be on vacation for a week or two, then itâs essential you set up your vacation email. If you miss the odd day, the world wonât implode, but if people donât know youâre away for a few weeks and they donât know exactly when youâll be back, or who they can contact in your place, youâre going to have some unhappy clients or customers.
Mac? Well, he clearly works hard and plays hard. Which is totally on-brand with the vibe that Marriott's Moxy hotels exude. In summary? Points for being young and able to dance the night away. Double (mid-life adult) points for staying on brand while doing so.
My boss requires us to put a nightly OOO message up, and I HATE it. I pushed back on it for months at first, because people know and understand that the reason no one is responding at 8pm is because the business is closed (or at least, they should understand thatâŚ). It wasnât worth the fight, my boss thinks itâs so important, so I caved and just turn on the message every night. I think it makes us look immature and like we donât understand business norms, but itâs not the hill Iâm willing to die on.
Thatâs the simple structure of a voicemail greeting. Overall, your greeting should be professional, but the wording can vary depending on the situation. Check out a sample below.
A thing my employer does is when someone leaves, they just shutoff the email. So someone goes to the trouble of writing an out of office explaining that they have retired or accepted a job somewhere else and where someone can go for help and IT just nukes the email address 24 hours after the person leaves. Then whomever was contacting them has no idea where to turn next. It is a terrible policy.
While the above is almost certainly a dramatisation, getting your out-of-office message right over the holiday period is arguably as important as all other facets of business. Cashflow? Investments? Who needs âem when youâve got an auto-response thatâll make people chortle!

Even if I do have access to my email while Iâm vacation, I typically do âIâm out of office with no access to email or voicemail until (date). For anything requiring immediate attention please contact (boss).â If I happen to check my email I can still forward the important ones, but otherwise hopefully people get the message that I will not be responding.
