A) Trying not to roll my eyes at this year’s new batch of corny holiday movies (which all seem to follow the same plot)

Note: Not all email clients show animated gifs. Some may show only the first slide.
The reason for the OOOs for staff taking half-days? They didn’t want to check the shared office calendar where our time off was recorded. UGH

I think my personal VM still says, “Ahoy, ahoy!” In my best Mr. Burns voice. I’m a woman.
My OOO replies are relatively boring…usually state if I’m using PTO or at a conference, dates, who to bother in my place, etc.
I worked with a guy years ago who would update his voicemail greeting literally every time he left the office.
The main thing to equivocate over for this sort of response is what details to include as a backup contact method. If your line of work means clients might need to urgently contact you, a mobile number might be appropriate, or if you’re lucky enough to have an assistant (must be nice), you can list their contact details.
An out of office message is an automatic response to work communications when you are away from the office. Using your email or messaging service, you can set up an automatic response to anyone who is trying to contact you. An out of office message should tell the sender: That you are not in the officeThe dates you will be goneWho they can contact while you are awayWhen to expect a response from you Why is an out of office message important?
Wow, it’s a bloody snooze fest over here! Just kidding, this option is the most appropriate for 95% of business out-of-office responses. It’s simple, no-nonsense, and tells people all they need to know.
Chatbots are now among the most preferred communication channels between customers and brands. However, not many businesses get their chatbot strategy...
Yep. When I was at an on-call job and sometimes had to check email while I was off it was a little more tailored; I would specify whether I had access to email or not, and give more detailed info on who to contact for what if I didn’t. Nowadays this is fine. And fine for me on the other end as well. I just need the relevant info, it’s not remotely a big deal if someone’s out.
Does this only work with contacts saved in my phone? I’m trying to get an auto response to prospective clients whom I don’t have saved in my phone.
Thank you for your message. I am currently out of the office, with no email access. I will be returning on (Date of Return).
Oh gosh. You’ve just reminded me that I was supposed to change my VM before every vacation or holiday at my old job. Something I completely forgot to do after the first year. Whoops!
