I have nothing against part-time staff. But, if they only work until 4 PM until 5 PM, then the OOTO replies arenât as helpful. If we had staff that only worked on certain days, then knowing that it may be more than one business day before a reply would be useful.

My trick though is to leave the out of office on for the first day after I return so folks know to expect delays while I get caught up/triage my inbox. Works for my company.
But Iâve also seen this tactic used for a weekâs vacation, which seems⊠aggressive.
