But I’ve also seen this tactic used for a week’s vacation, which seems… aggressive.
You can include the range of dates that you will be away, but ultimately the sender wants to know when they can reach you again.
Just because your business is text-enabled it doesn’t mean you have to be a two-way communication platform. You can create an auto-reply message to all incoming messages letting them know the inbox they’ve reached isn’t monitored and direct them elsewhere for contact! Thanks for your response! Please note this inbox is not monitored. To reach someone with a question or feedback, please email [email protected]
This is typically what I do. People don’t need to know where you are or what you’re doing. It’s really none of their business. They just need to know how long you’ll be out, that you won’t be checking email or vm while you’re gone, and who to contact instead.
