When a potential customer calls your business, are they quickly assured that they’ve reached the right number? Be sure to quickly identify yourself and your business at the beginning of your voicemail greeting.

Accessing Voicemail from off Campus Dial 617-353-9999 to call Voicemail or dial your own telephone number to reach your personal voicemail box. Hit * Enter your campus 5-digit extension followed by #. When prompted, enter your six-digit Voice Mail PIN and press #.

4. Keep your after hours voicemail greetings current. If your business will be closed during its normal operating days for a holiday or is dealing with some type of emergency situation you will want to update your after-hours announcement.
There is no definitive answer here, but you should include one of the two at the beginning of your message based on what makes the most sense.
While covering all of the relevant information, aim to keep your voicemail to about 20 seconds. You definitely should not ever record a business voicemail longer than 30 seconds, and anything less than 10 seconds will typically mean that you are either speaking too quickly or aren’t providing all of the required information.
