A custom phone greeting is a recording that plays automatically when a customer calls. They can be set to play right at the start as a professional welcome, as a voicemail greeting, or even as an away message when you can’t answer. Business phone greetings can give your small business a larger and more professional appearance.
Please leave your name, number and a brief message after the tone and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Hello. You've reached the office of [your name] at [your company]. @Fa5t3r - I would try a wide range of different tones when recording and play them back to see what goes over the best and what projects the image you want people to hear. Remember that some people may be going to hear this message over and over again depending on how often they have to call you so you want it to be very pleasant and not at all irritating.

Here’s a generic business voicemail greeting example: “Thank you for calling [company/person’s name]. We are currently unavailable, but if you leave your name, phone number, and message, we will get back to you as soon as possible.” The above greeting is a professional voicemail script used by many growing and established businesses.
You may think your voicemail message is professional. But when you listen back it could sound rushed or shaky. Listen to it regularly to see if changes are needed.

Of course, we want to know as soon as an incoming voicemail is saved, so again, it’s Twilio to the rescue. By adding a few lines of code to our Python script, Stacey and I each get an SMS notification telling us there’s a new message. Note that Twilio’s API requires a separate call for each message to be sent, which is why the similar code repeats once for Stacey’s phone number and then again for mine. If you plan to send bulk messages from Twilio, I expect that you can build a list of phone numbers and loop through them with the API call. Since we only have two contact numbers and don’t expect to add any more, I decided not to loop through a list of two elements.
Your carrier offers few options, if at all. But with YouMail, you can choose from three different types of voicemail greetings: Smart Greetings, Personal Greetings, and Pre-Recorded Greetings from the free YouMail Greetings Catalog. You can switch between multiple greetings in an instant or assign different greetings to different callers.
One way to avoid this is by writing a script. When you’re writing a script for your business voicemail greeting, make sure to look over it to see if there’s any slang or business jargon that could mean two different things depending on your point of view. If there’s any potential for confusion, revise the script and simplify the language. You can always ask a friend you don’t work with to see if your message is clear as well.
