Before using pre-recorded voicemails with your prospects, try it out yourself first by calling your own cell phone and leaving a few messages. You will get to hear exactly how it will sound to your prospects and if you notice any time gaps, you can retry and adjust your voicemails until you get it to sound great.
4. Vacation Day Voicemail Greeting. If your business is off for a holiday, it's a common courtesy to update your voicemail to acknowledge the closure. Mention the closure in the beginning of the message, convey when your business is reopening, and don't forget to wish the callers a happy holiday if the occasion calls for it.

It may sound silly, but the tone in which you say something can either play the professional status up, or it can bring it down. You can’t change what your voice naturally sounds like, but you can work on controlling it to make sure you sound calm and collected when recording your message.
