To use a different greeting that you already recorded or switch back to the default greeting:
1. Setting Up a Verizon or Sprint Voicemail: Open your iPhone's Phone app. It's the white phone icon on a green background on the Home screen. Tap "Voicemail".
Note: Voicemail, Visual Voicemail, and Voicemail transcription are available from select carriers in select countries or regions.
For the users to be able to do this from the phone or by calling into the system the users will have to have pre-recorded greeting for different status and switch between them from the phone or by calling in to the system. They can do that from the web client, windows client or an android client.
The service also recommends stating your name, apologizing for missing the call and that you will call them back. If possible include a time frame for a return call. Don’t ramble or include un-needed information.
The greeting section does not work. Call your own number and listen to the automated voice tell you whether you have messages or not. Then wait for further instructions. It will tell you to press four for personal options and then you press three to change or listen to your previous greeting.
3. AT&T Voicemail Viewer. In case you still have a landline phone with voice mail function, AT&T Voicemail Viewer will help you even remotely track calls and messages.
Other types of Visual Voicemail: Tap Phone, then Voicemail. iPhone: Select Greeting. Other smartphones: Tap Settings, then Change voicemail greeting. Select Custom, then choose Record. When you're finished recording your greeting, select Stop then Save. Some smartphones may call the voicemail system when you select Change voicemail greeting.
Our phone does not leave any type of a prompt on the main screen when there is a new voice mail waiting. Is there some way to turn this feature on?
