Note: If necessary, delete an existing greeting (limit of 2 greetings) to make room for the new greeting: Tap the Menu key, tap Delete greetings, tap the check box next to the desired greeting, and then tap Delete. What eventually worked is going into my deleted voicemails and pushing "Clear All".
Step 1 Open the app on your phone. Go into your iPhone dialer and access the voicemail features. Step 2 Change the default settings. On the keypad, type "*5005*86*0123456789#" – NOTE: "0123456789" is the number to which you want your voicemails to be sent to. Step 3 Save the new settings.
Step 3. Record a greeting by tapping “Custom”. Make sure that it’s enabled, see if the checkmark is there.
If you persistently can’t save your greeting, you may need to reset your phone’s network settings. The iPhone needs to access your network’s data connection to save changes to your voice mail configuration, and if it can’t connect to 3G or 4G, it won’t save the changes.
To set up your voicemail, press #55 or *68 from your home phone or call the retrieval number you received with your welcome letter. Voice prompts will guide you through the rest of the steps.
7. Staying In Contact Using Android. If your voicemails aren’t working on Android, then the fixes above should help you solve the problem. In many cases, an update to your carrier’s voicemail app or settings can resolve the issue, but don’t forget to call your voicemail number to check if it is set up correctly.
Calling your retrieval number — instead of your home phone number — is a faster way to listen to your messages remotely. You will be prompted immediately to enter your PIN and don't have to wait for your greeting to start.
Record a personalized greeting, up to 3 minutes long. A common template you can follow is: "You've reached [name]. We can't get to the phone right now, but if you leave a message, we'll call you back."
So make sure you connect with them to make sure you have it. If you don't see that play on the record and that way you'll just have to basically record and use a different device to call them yourself, to hear your voicemail. I hope you found this useful.
