2. Press the Star or Pound Key. Depending on your carrier, you will likely push one of these two keys next. It's more common to push the star key. When you hear your voicemail start, that's when you should press either the star (*) or the pound (#) key. For AT&T, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and T-Mobile, press the star (*) key. Verizon, Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile users should press the pound (#) key. If you are using a different carrier, you can check its website or call customer service to be sure.
The Android operating system includes a native visual voicemail that lets you view voicemail messages in text form. Default Busy Prompt: The person at the extension XXXX is busy. Default Voicemail Prompt: Please leave your message after the tone, when done hang up or press the pound key (#)." Change global voicemail greetings Prepare your custom prompt files, and upload to the PBX. Go to Settings > PBX > General > Voicemail > Greeting Options. Change the global voicemail greetings. Max Greeting Length (s): Set the maximum time limit in seconds when recording greetings via voicemail. The default value is 60s. Busy Prompt: Select the prompt that will be played when the extension is busy. Unavailable Prompt: Select the prompt that will be played when the extension is unavailable. Voicemail Prompt: Select the prompt that will be played after Busy or Unavailable prompt.
Note: a desk phones' voicemail greeting can only be recorded via phone, there is no way to upload or download a greeting through the online panel.

Try using your voicemail and see if the problem still exists. Method 3: Setup Your Visual Voicemail. If you are unable to set up your voicemail through phone settings, then you can try setting it up through your carrier. Voicemail is related to your carrier and it is best to be done this way. This may not work for all kind of carriers.
