In this way, you can change the 9-digit voicemail number by following easy steps: Step 1 Open the app on your phone. Go into your iPhone dialer and access the voicemail features.

You will be automatically connected to your mailbox and required to enter your temporary password, which is the last four digits of your phone number followed by the # key; this password is case-sensitive.
Sometimes, giving your iPhone a fresh start by turning it off and back on again can resolve a minor software issue. For instance, if the software of your iPhone crashed in the background, it may have caused the Phone app to malfunction.
Now, you will hear the Voicemail greetings instruction recorded on the phone. You will be asked to press a specific number to change the greeting. Follow the instructions and press that number.
Make sure to keep the microphone in an appropriate angle and distance while recording. When finished, tap “Stop” and finally “Save”.
Your AT&T VoiceMail Service access number is: 1-888-288-8893. When calling from home, if prompted, enter your password followed by #. If you are not calling from home, you will be prompted to enter your 10-digit telephone number followed by your password, then just follow the system prompts. From any Home screen, tap Phone. Touch and hold 1 or dial 123 and tap Call, or tap the Voicemail icon to call voicemail.
4. Press and hold the message[s] you wish to recover, then “Save” to confirm the recovery.
From another extension in your system: Dial 500 , enter your extension number, then enter your voicemail password, followed by the # key. Press the * key to enter the Main Menu. Note: If you have no saved voicemail messages, you should enter the Main Menu automatically. You can skip this step. Press 2 to change your greeting.
The tutorial performed below was done on an iPhone 5 that is using the iOS 7 version of the operating system. Your screens may look different if you are using a different version.

This is one of the reason’s I am considering changing my iphone to Samsung Android OS! Another voice mail bug is when I play new voice mail it plays old voice mail! This 2018 and you shouldn’t have to call for retrieval of voice mails! I switched Siri language to UK english to turn off the buggy transcription app! Or you can turn Siri off to turn it off!
