Accessing voicemail on an Android phone can be achieved by hitting and holding down the 1 key on the number pad until the system dials your 10-digit phone number, as seen in the screenshot.
Important: In some countries or regions, deleted messages may be permanently erased by your carrier. Your voice messages may also be deleted if you change your SIM card.
FROM YOUR WIRELESS: Press and hold the 1 key to access the voicemail system. When you hear the recorded message, press the # key to bring you to the system menu. Alright let me try to clear this problem as much as I can. From the parent carrier, we have a limitation or you can say a requirement that all numbers should have the Voicemail set up. So what we do for those customers who don’t want it, we disable it from our side but again the numbers keep syncing from the parent carrier’s network from time to time (roughly once a quarter). When the numbers get synced, voicemail automatically gets enabled. To some people, this is alright but sometimes it becomes inconvenience for the customers to call us again to disable it.
2. AT&T Wireless: Press and hold the “1” button on the dialer screen of your AT&T wireless device. This command dials you into the AT&T voicemail system. Press “3” to access the Greetings menu.

I would like to change this to the "standard greeting" option, which was offered when I initially set up my voicemail. The only options now when I want to change my personal greeting is re-record my greeting or keep the one I have.
You could also record a custom greeting in a visual voicemail app, if you have one installed.
For the users to be able to do this from the phone or by calling into the system the users will have to have pre-recorded greeting for different status and switch between them from the phone or by calling in to the system. They can do that from the web client, windows client or an android client.
