To record custom greetings simply click Record custom greeting, then hit Tap to record and start recording.

If you are unable to set up your voicemail through phone settings, then you can try setting it up through your carrier. Voicemail is related to your carrier and it is best to be done this way. So make sure you connect with them to make sure you have it. Other types of Visual Voicemail: Tap Phone, then Voicemail. iPhone: Select Greeting. Other smartphones: Tap Settings, then Change voicemail greeting. Select Custom, then choose Record. When you're finished recording your greeting, select Stop then Save. Some smartphones may call the voicemail system when you select Change voicemail greeting.
