If you choose not to record and transmit a greeting through your phone’s voicemail system, you can utilize a visual voicemail application that has been installed on your phone instead.
To change the voicemail greeting on your iPhone, use the steps in this help page - Visual voicemail - iPhone. Specifically -. Update your greeting. 3. Setting Up an AT&T Visual Voicemail: Open your iPhone's Phone app. It's the white phone icon on a green background on the Home screen. Tap "Voicemail". It's in the bottom right corner of the screen.
