An extension is a short internal number. Extensions allow users to make and receive calls. You can assign extensions to every employee in your organization.
Your iPhone does have a voicemail password, but you only have to enter it once and many new iPhones set it up automatically. However, there still needs to be some form of authentication between your carrier and your iPhone to download your voicemails. Even though you don’t see it, your voicemail password still exists.

Personal Greeting - Plays a custom message that you record using a phone.

You do need a visual voicemail for the last option. That is something that is provided by your cell phone provider and most cell phone provider have it by default. if you don't see it, call them and see if you can add it.
