4 hours agoThe process is very simple. You'll just have to click the green phone icon, the same place you make calls, and navigate to the voicemail screen. On the voicemail screen, you'll see a greetings option on the top left. Once you click greeting, you can change it from default to custom and record your custom greeting.
Note: If the Phone option is not present, slide up from the center of a Home screen and select Phone.
If you want to change that, follow these steps: 1. Press the voicemail button on your phone or dial *98/*99 to access the voicemail menu. 2. Press 0 for Mailbox Options and then press 5 to change the password. 3. Enter your new password of at least four digits and then press #. 4. Re-enter the new password and then press #.
Of course, this option is only available for those brave enough to hack their iPhone.

Along with having my greeting screen frozen I was also not receiving any indication that a call was coming in...no ring, no vibrate, no visual indication on the phone at all. All calls were going directly to voicemail and the greeting was some funky message...maybe it was the default although custom was checkmarked. I also tried resetting, turning off WiFi, checking Do Not Disturb. Enter a voicemail password then click done. Re-enter password then tap done again. Now go to your voicemail greeting and you will be able to edit your greeting. Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
3. To permanently delete the message, click on the trashcan icon, either found below the voicemail details or at the top right-hand corner.

And youâre done! Your CenturyLink voicemail is now set up. Whenever you have an unheard message, you'll hear a stuttered dial tone when you pick up your home phone. Take a few minutes to gather your thoughts, even jot down a few notes, and practice before you record. Before you start recording, turn off anything in the background that might cause noise. This will ensure your voice is clear and easy to understand. While clever greetings can be fun, it's worth taking a moment to think about the range of potential callers who may be leaving you voicemail. Consider the tone and image you want to project. Don't worry! If you don't like your recording, you can erase it and re-record as many times as you'd like.
