Call your iPhone from another phone and try to leave yourself a voicemail. Go to the keypad and press and hold the number 1, or press the Call Voicemail button. This dials voicemail. How how how can that be??!! This is the year 2016, and I can’t set basic options like the number of rings! Actually I too want to turn off voicemail completely. I am aghast to read I don’t have a choice.
If you want to turn off your voicemail, you’ll need to call us on 333 from a Three phone. You can also call 0333 338 1001 (standard rates apply) from any other phone.

To unblock a previously blocked number when you still have their voicemail message:
