I have tried all of the suggestions above and still can't save a custom voicemail greeting. seems like such a simple task, I can't believe Apple hasn't fixed this bug. To change or record a new AT&T Visual Voicemail Greeting: tap Phone > Voicemail. If you have iPhone, select Greeting. For all other smartphones, tap Settings > Change voicemail greeting. Select Custom > Record. When you're finished recording your greeting, select Stop > Save. Some smartphones may call the voicemail system when you select Change

I just tried to set up voice mail and I got a message saying it was not available for users roaming on T-Mobile’s network! Please get this fixed! Something as basic as this should not be an issue. It almost makes want to consider another carrier.
To recover a deleted message, tap Deleted Messages, tap the message, then tap Undelete.
I put in a 7-15 digit password and click Done, but I get the message “Voicemail Error” try again later everytime. Help.
